Everest Range:
Gokyo Lake
Gokyo : An ultimate experience into the
foothills of Mount Everest and the pristine Gokyo
Lakes.
We invite you
to experience life with the legendary Sherpas along
the trails set by famous mountaineering expeditions!
Gokyo trek
includes the visits to Namche and Thyangboche and
adds an incredible hike to Gokyo Lake. This trek
gives you plenty of beautiful views of Everest and
other nearby giants. Mountainous valleys, alpine
lakes, and numerous glaciers surround Gokyo Lake
area.
This trek is
less crowded than others in the Everest region and
takes 12 –14 days to complete including travel to
and from Kathmandu. This moderate to difficult trek
reaches a high of 5000 meters.
Ultimate Everest
Trek
A challenging trek to the base of the
world's highest mountain through the finest mountain
scenery the Everest Region has to offer.
This is a
spectacular three weeks adventure that will take you
through some of the finest mountain scenery on the
planet. After an exciting flight from Kathmandu to
Lukla we trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m), the Sherpa
capital, where we spend a day for acclimatization.
We trek to the beautiful turquoise Gokyo Lakes and
climb Gokyo Ri (5300 m) where we are rewarded with
great views of Cho Oyu, Makalu and Everest. From
Gokyo Valley we cross the high pass Cho La (5420 m)
into the Khumbu Valley. Finally we climb Kala Pattar
(5600 m) with excellent views of Everest. On the way
back to Lukla, we visit Thyangboche Monastery.
Arun Valley Trek
Trekking in Arun Valley area is a naturalist\'s
paradise and it is teeming with many precious
plants, birds and is a significant part of the
Himalayan environment and ecosystem. The utterly
marvelous, still very untouched and an irregular
trekking area of Makalu region, is very close to the
Everest region. It is known as Arun Valley (eastern
part of Nepal) because of Arun River. The Arun
Valley is an unimaginable area, famous for both the
culture and nature. It is located between the
Sagarmatha and Makalu-Barun National Parks, which
provides really superb views of both
Mt Everest and
Makalu. Trekking in Arun valley provides an
alternative approach to the Khumbu region as well.
We recommend this approach to those people who have
already been in the Everest region and want to
revisit
Everest Base Camp (Kala Pattar) via a less
traveled route. The trek requires stamina and
fitness to fully appreciate the beauty of the
region.
The Arun Valley Trek remains off the main tourist
map being so don't expect a great social scene. With
the lack of general development along the way the
villages and their inhabitants retain certain
innocence to the Western eye. |
